Required first step

Create your Lovable account & build your trading bot

Algo Lisa is built on Lovable. To run your own version you need your own free Lovable account — that is where your project, database and brokerage keys live. Follow these eleven steps in order; each one is a copy-paste prompt or a two-minute click-through.

Step 0 — Sign up now (2 minutes)

Open Lovable in a new tab and create your account, then come back here and work down the list with both tabs open.

  1. 1

    Create your free Lovable account

Your bot lives on your own Lovable project. Nothing runs through us — your project, your database, your brokerage keys.

    • •Go to lovable.dev and click Sign up.
    • •Use Google or an email + password — use the same email you bought the Blueprint with so support is easy.
    • •Confirm your email, then you land on the Lovable dashboard.
    • •The free plan is enough to build and test. You only need a paid plan when you want the bot running around the clock on a published URL.
    • •Expect a Lovable software build fee of approximately $25–$50/month once you publish and keep the bot running 24/7. This is not included in the Blueprint package price.
  2. 2

    Create a new blank project

From your dashboard, start a fresh project. Name it something like my-trading-bot. Do not build anything yet — the next step supplies the whole foundation.

  3. 3

Budget external fees before you build

The Blueprint price covers the training, code packs and support. It does not cover Lovable's own build fee or a real-time exchange price data subscription. Plan for these directly-billed costs:

    • •Lovable software build fee: approximately $25–$50/month depending on the plan you choose.
    • •Real-time exchange price data: typically $20–$200/month depending on the provider (Polygon.io, Alpaca data plan, or your broker's real-time quote feed) and which exchanges/asset classes you need.
    • •The playbook and modules include a vendor comparison and suggestions for choosing exchange fees and real-time price quotes.
  4. 4

    Upload the Starter Project pack

Download the Starter Project ZIP from your member portal, unzip it, and drag the files into the chat in your new Lovable project. Then send this prompt:

    Paste this into Lovable

I'm attaching a starter pack for an automated trading bot. Set up this project using these files: the engine skeleton, the risk-rail module and the market-session clock. Keep the folder structure as provided. Do not add any strategies yet.

  5. 5

Turn on Lovable Cloud (database + backend)

Your bot needs to remember trades, equity and state between sessions. Ask Lovable to enable Cloud and create the tables:

    Paste this into Lovable

Enable Lovable Cloud for this project. Create tables for trades (symbol, side, entry, stop, target, size, entry_time, exit_time, pnl, exit_reason), daily_state (date, starting_equity, realized_pnl, trade_count, halted) and engine_log. Enable RLS with policies so only my admin account can read and write.

  6. 6

Add your market data + brokerage keys as secrets

Never paste keys into the chat as plain code. Ask Lovable to store them as secrets — it will pop up a secure input box.

    • •Create your Alpaca PAPER keys first (see the Brokerage key setup guide in your portal).
    • •Ask: "Add secrets named ALPACA_KEY_ID, ALPACA_SECRET_KEY and ALPACA_BASE_URL and use them in the broker adapter."
    • •Point ALPACA_BASE_URL at the paper endpoint until you have a full month of clean paper results.
  7. 7

    Load your strategy library

Autopilot and Full Setup members members get the strategy pack. Upload it and have Lovable wire each strategy into the decision engine, one at a time:

    Paste this into Lovable

Add the attached strategy module to the decision engine. Each strategy must declare: entry trigger, stop, target, position size from a fixed dollar risk, time window, and invalidation. Do not let a strategy bypass the risk rails.

  8. 8

Set your risk rails before anything trades

This is the step that separates a bot from a blow-up. Rails are hard-coded limits the engine cannot argue with.

    Paste this into Lovable

Enforce these rails on every entry, server side: max risk per trade $250, max gross notional $20,000, daily loss circuit breaker $650 (halt all new entries for the day), no entries before 9:30 AM ET or after 3:30 PM ET, flatten everything by 3:57 PM ET, and a kill switch I can toggle from an admin page.

  9. 9

    Run the backtest harness

Upload the Backtest & Data pack and replay real sessions before risking a dollar. You are reading three numbers: expectancy per trade in R, profit factor, and max drawdown. If expectancy is negative over 100+ sessions, the strategy is not ready — change one rule at a time and re-run.

  10. 10

    Turn on alerts

Wire push and email so every trigger reaches you with a complete ticket — symbol, side, entry, stop, target and size — even when you are away from the screen.

    Paste this into Lovable

Add web push and email alerts that fire on every entry, stop move and exit, with the full trade ticket in the message.

  11. 11

    Publish, then go live small

Click Publish in the top right of Lovable to get your live URL and keep the server-side engine running. Then flip from paper to live keys and trade the smallest size that still matters to you for two weeks before scaling.

Stuck on a step?

Autopilot and Full Setup members members can send the exact step and error through the Private Build Q&A in the member portal. Everyone else can email steved@tplustwoholdings.com.
